It is important to note that the labeling affixed to some pieces by the person(s) decommissioning the gear, occasionally contained typographical and other errors. The serial number can be easily found because it is usually printed in white to help it stand out from the black lens. Just have a look at your Nikon lens and scan the surface. They do not have a standard location, but they are fairly easy to find. Included are only lenses that have been verified to have authentic NASA SNs. Serial numbers can be found in different places on your lens. While the list currently only details lenses, I may be adding camera bodies and accessories over the next while.
